About Me

Ever since I was a small child, I have always enjoyed being creative through drawing, story telling, or playing with Legos. When I was first exposed to video games on the Nintendo at the age of 5, it was only natural for me to want to make my own. For over 20 years now I have been following that dream, which is a big part of the reason why I moved out to California from Pennsylvania in 2005.

My industry experience started with QA at SEGA in the latter half of 2005. As someone who understood the design aspect of games, I quickly became one of their best testers. In 2008 I worked as an Associate Producer for 2D Boy's award-winning Wii title, World of Goo, which ranks as #3 in the top Wii games of all time. In 2009 I had my first industry job that was focused on the creation of game assets; I developed the background art for Capcom's DSiWare hit, Dark Void Zero. In addition to this, the bulk of my experience comes from what I do in my free time as an independent game developer.

Today, I am a student majoring in Game Art & Design at the Art Institute of California in San Francisco. However, after 3 years at this school and 2 more to go, I have come to the conclusion that the curriculum offered at this school is too heavily focused on training students to be production artists with 3D software and not serving me as a designer. In lieu of this, I feel that there is little more I can learn from this school and I am interested in transitioning into my career at this stage.

Regardless of whether I'm working or going to school, one thing is guaranteed; I will always be passionate about my craft as a game designer.
